Course Duration: 45 mins

In this course, you will learn what child safety is, and the critical role you play in keeping the children and young people you support safe from harm.
You will learn how Australian organisations implement the National Child Safe Principles to prioritise child safety and to embed child safety into their policies, procedures, and activities.
Next, you will get an overview of what Risk of Significant Harm (ROSH) is, and learn how to identify various types of abuse. We will also explore the responsibilities of Mandatory Reporters in responding to signs of abuse, and learn the process for making a child safety report.
Lastly, you will discover how to collaborate with the team supporting the child or young person to help them develop self-protective behaviours and confidently speak up if they feel unsafe.
