Aspire Hub NDIS Provider Logo - NGO Training Centre Disability Support Training

1. Please briefly introduce yourself and your organisation

My name is Sindy Rennick, and I am the Chief People Officer – NDIS & Child Safety at Aspire Hub Pty Ltd and Aspire Hub CS Pty Ltd. We operate across the disability and child safety sectors, delivering person-centred services to NDIS participants and vulnerable children and young people. Our workforce consists of 304 employees across frontline and corporate roles.

2. Before working with us, what specific challenge or challenges were you facing around training or compliance?

Prior to engaging with the NGO Training Centre, we were experiencing challenges in maintaining consistent, high-quality training across a diverse and growing workforce. Ensuring compliance with NDIS and child safety standards, while balancing operational demands, was time intensive. We also identified varying levels in staff confidence, particularly in relation to safeguarding, clinical practices, and regulatory requirements.

3. What made you choose us over other training providers?

We selected the NGO Training Centre due to its sector-specific relevance, strong compliance focus, and a flexible delivery model. The ability to provide accessible, on-demand training that aligns particularly with our NDIS was a key differentiator, along with the quality of content and ease of implementation.

4. What has your experience been like working with us?

Our experience has been highly positive. The onboarding process was efficient, and the platform is intuitive for both employees and leadership. The training modules are well-structured and aligned with industry standards. Additionally, the responsiveness and support provided by your team is second to none and has enabled a smooth integration into our existing systems and processes.

5. What impact has this had on your organisation or your team?

The platform has strengthened our organisational capability by improving compliance, consistency, and workforce readiness. We have seen increased staff confidence, particularly in high-risk areas such as safeguarding and clinical care. It has also reduced administrative burden and enhanced our ability to demonstrate audit readiness and continuous improvement.

 6. Was there a moment where you thought, ‘this is exactly what we needed’?

In all honesty, when I first commenced with Aspire Hub, the NGO Training Centre was not being utilised to its full potential, and there was minimal uptake of the available courses. Through working closely with Irina from the NGO Training Centre, I was able to explore the platform in greater depth, including the breadth and quality of the course content.

That was the moment I realised we had something truly valuable, an untapped resource with the potential to significantly strengthen our workforce capability and compliance.

7. Who would you recommend this to, and why?

I would recommend this platform to organisations operating, particular within the NDIS, and broader community services sectors. It is valuable for providers seeking a scalable, compliant, and high-quality training solution that supports both workforce development and risk management.

8. In one sentence, how would you describe us to another organisation?

A strategic training partner that delivers practical, compliant, and scalable learning solutions for complex care environments.

Montessori Care, New South Wales – 50+ Employees (Text)

Montessori Care Logo - NGO Training Centre

“Before adding the new Aged Care courses, one of our main challenges was ensuring our training remained current, compliant, and practical across both disability and aged care frameworks, without overloading staff with generic or outdated content. We needed courses that were clearly aligned with regulatory expectations and could be easily implemented across a diverse workforce.

We chose NGO Training Centre’s courses because they are well-structured, audit-focused, and clearly designed for the sector, rather than being purely theoretical. The relevance of the content, ease of access through the LMS, and confidence that the training would stand up to compliance and quality audits were key factors in our decision over alternative options.

The new Aged Care courses provide more training and competency for our workers as most of our current pool are disability focused. This makes them more well-rounded and can help incentivise them to work more.

What we value most about the NGO Training Centre is the overall customer service and experience, combined with the high quality and breadth of course content available.

The support from the team has been excellent, in particularBen, has been outstanding. He communicates clearly, is always approachable, and is readily available to support us whenever needed, which makes a significant difference in managing training across a busy organisation.

We also value the quality of the course content and the wide range of courses available, which allows us to meet diverse training and compliance needs across both disability and aged care services with confidence.”

And with any enquiries we have, we speak to the same person and they’re always helpful.

What makes our LMS different from other providers? The app is great, and the system saves your progress so you can come back to it later. The reporting is easy and very user-friendly.

What has exceeded your expectations? The customer service all round – always speaking to the same person who is always helpful, the chat on the website us useful for information quickly and easily, and getting started was simple with no pushy salesperson.

What features sold you on choosing our Courses? The training is easy to use even on our phones, and is actually informative – it’s actually helpful and it helps us help our participants, so it’s going to help everyone. We spoke to people who recommended NGO Training Centre, and the customer service all round is excellent.

Yeah, this is why we do this.’ It wasn’t just compliance for the sake of it – it actually made a difference on the ground for the person who was supporting.”

“The courses are relevant and up to date, and not just your generic tick the box kind of stuff. Also, if I ever had a question, someone got back to me very quickly.”

Can I study Aged Care or NDIS Disability training online?

Yes! We offer flexible online learning options to suit your lifestyle, with options available for both individuals and organisations.

Is NDIS training different from aged care training?

While they share similarities, NDIS training focuses on disability support, whereas aged care courses are tailored for caring for ageing individuals.

How many NDIS disability support training courses do you offer?

Our 100+ online disability support training resources provide an innovative, affordable, and all-in-one solution designed to support Australian disability organisations in building a skilled, confident, and compliant workforce.

How many aged care training courses do you offer?

Our 90+ online aged care training resources offer an innovative, affordable, all-in-one solution to help Australian aged care organisations develop a skilled, confident, and compliant workforce – fully aligned with the new Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

How much do your disability support and aged care training packages cost?

The cost of our various disability training packages largely depends on how many staff members you have that will require access to the training – smaller teams can train for as little as only $104 per person per year, and larger teams tend to spend between $5,000 and $10,000 per year for our full suite of courses and a customisable LMS – these options are much more affordable than other training providers, or trying to train your staff in house!

What are your NDIS Registration Courses?

We offer online courses that guide your organisation through the Online Self-Assessment component of NDIS Registration, so you can become or remain a registered NDIS provider.

The NDIS Practice Standards consist of a core module and several supplementary modules that apply according to the types of supports and services NDIS providers deliver.

Our courses cover all modules, so providers can ‘pick and choose’ which are relevant to their type of registration.

There is a free introductory course that provides information on the NDIS Registration application process, including the NDIS Registration Self-Assessment and what it involves.

Our courses are broken down into the following courses, ranging in length from 20 minutes to 60 minutes:

– Introduction to the NDIS Registration Application Process and NDIS Practice Standards Online Self-Assessment (Free course).

– Verification module.

– Core module.

– High-intensity daily personal activities module.

– Specialist behaviour support module.

– Implementing behaviour support plans module.

– Early childhood supports module.

– Specialised support co-ordination module.

– Specialist disability accommodation module.

Each course explains what the relevant Practice Standards require, how to develop appropriate responses for the self-assessment, and includes practical examples of responses and the types of evidence providers must submit to demonstrate compliance.

These courses support providers in understanding their obligations, preparing high-quality self-assessment responses, and meeting the requirements for NDIS registration.

What are your NGO Xpress courses?

Designed for NDIS staff and Aged Care staff with existing knowledge, our Xpress courses validate skills in just 5-10 minutes with no unnecessary repetition! Included in all our training packages for provider organisations.

NGO Xpress courses use adaptive learning technology. Each course starts with a short quiz at the beginning of each objective to assess the learner’s existing knowledge. The system then automatically skips familiar content and focuses only on the areas that need refreshing.

This means:
– Learners who retain strong knowledge complete the course much faster.
– Those needing a refresher receive targeted training to meet the NDIS and Strengthened Aged Care Standards.
– Upon successful completion, learners receive an extension of their existing certification.

These courses are automatically available in our Disability SupportAged Care and Combined Sector training packages in addition to our standard, full-length courses.

What is disability training?

Disability training provides support workers, team leaders, managers and disability service providers with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver safe, person-centred support to people with disability. Disability training can cover topics such as Positive Behaviour Support, Person-Centred Active Support, communication, medication management, duty of care, restrictive practices and NDIS compliance.

Why is disability training important?

Disability training helps support workers provide high-quality care, improve participant outcomes, reduce risks, and meet the requirements of the NDIS Practice Standards. Ongoing disability training also helps organisations maintain a skilled, confident and compliant workforce.

What disability training should support workers complete?

The most important disability support worker training topics typically include Person-Centred Active Support, Positive Behaviour Support, Communication Skills, Duty of Care, Trauma-Informed Care, Abuse and Neglect, Infection Prevention and Control, and NDIS Code of Conduct training. The exact training requirements may vary depending on a worker’s role and responsibilities.

Can disability training be completed online?

Yes. Online disability training allows support workers and disability service providers to complete training at their own pace while maintaining compliance and professional development requirements. Our online courses provide flexible access to learning materials, assessments and certificates of completion.

What is NDIS training?

NDIS training refers to training that helps workers and providers understand and meet the requirements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Common NDIS training topics include participant rights, person-centred supports, behaviour support, incident management, restrictive practices and NDIS compliance obligations.

What are the benefits of disability support worker training?

Disability support worker training helps staff build confidence, improve communication skills, manage complex support situations, understand participant rights, reduce workplace risks and deliver better outcomes for people with disability.

How often should disability support workers complete training?

Disability support workers should participate in ongoing training and professional development throughout their careers. Many organisations require annual refresher training in key compliance areas, while additional training may be required when legislation, standards or workplace procedures change.

What topics are covered in disability support training courses?

Disability training courses may cover Positive Behaviour Support, Person-Centred Active Support, Trauma-Informed Care, Communication, Duty of Care, Restrictive Practices, Medication Management, Mental Health, Cultural Safety, Abuse and Neglect, and NDIS Practice Standards.

Who should complete disability support training?

Disability training is suitable for disability support workers, support coordinators, team leaders, managers, allied health professionals, community support workers and disability service providers seeking to improve skills, maintain compliance and enhance participant outcomes.

How does disability support training help with NDIS compliance?

Disability training helps organisations demonstrate that workers understand their responsibilities under the NDIS Practice Standards and NDIS Code of Conduct. Training supports compliance by improving knowledge of participant rights, risk management, behaviour support and quality service delivery.

How do I choose the right disability training course?

The right disability training course depends on your role, experience level and professional development goals. Support workers may focus on frontline skills, while managers and team leaders may require additional training in leadership, compliance and service quality.
