Person Centred Care in Aged Care

In this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of person-centred care in aged care settings. We will start by examining the core principles of person-centred care, followed by an analysis of its alignment with the Strengthened Aged Care Standards and the Aged Care Act. Next, we will assess the responsibilities of aged care workers in applying person-centred care in their role. Lastly, through real-world scenarios, we will apply principles such as choice, dignity, and respect to develop tailored care strategies that enhance the well-being and independence of individuals in aged care.
