Within this course, you will learn about Participant consent and processes involved in gaining consent to access plan information. We’ll explore the planning process and discover information contained within a Participant’s NDIS plan. We’ll highlight the importance of setting person-centred goals to inform what funding will be included across NDIS support categories and understand how funding can be used to purchase supports. You’ll learn how travel is funded to support participants to access work, study and community activities, and know what types of travel providers can charge a participant plan for. Lastly, you’ll learn about three phases of support and specific activities a Support Coordinator can do to understand the participant and their plan, take action so the person is connected to supports, and monitor plan implementation.
