We will explore specific risks associated with working in the disability sector and the responsibilities of both employees and employers to maintain a safe work environment.<br />Next, we will review three key WHS processes: consultation, cooperation, and coordination, which are designed to ensure collaborative management of WHS matters by involving both employee and employer perspectives. Lastly, the course will cover the unique WHS risks associated with remote work, their impact on workers, and the necessary measures to manage these risks and ensure the safety of all employees.
In part 2 of the Keeping Safe at Work course, you will build on your understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) risks and dive into risk management approaches in greater detail. You’ll learn about a 4-stage risk management process and explore specific tools such as the risk matrix, used to understand, classify, and prioritise risk management initiatives.
