Keeping Safe at Work Part 1

In this course, you will learn about Work, Health, and Safety (WHS), including an understanding of risk and the WHS laws and regulations that protect Australian workers. We will explore specific risks associated with working in the disability sector and the responsibilities of both employees and employers to maintain a safe work environment. Next, we will review three key WHS processes: consultation, cooperation, and coordination, which are designed to ensure collaborative management of WHS matters by involving both employee and employer perspectives. Lastly, the course will cover the unique WHS risks associated with remote work, their impact on workers, and the necessary measures to manage these risks and ensure the safety of all employees.
