Medication Assistance & Management Pathway
AU$247.00
Course Duration: 5.5 hrs
Accessible for: 186 days
The Medication Assistance and Management Pathway aligns with NDIS Practice Standards Core Modules and is reviewed annually for updates. Assisting Participants with Medication Part 1 covers medication basics, types, reviews, and the professional’s role in managing risks. Assisting Participants with Medication Part 2 focuses on medication safety using the “10 Rights” framework, best practices for handling, storing, and disposing of medication, and managing incidents. The nine short courses teach safe medication administration for disability support professionals.
This pathway ensures safer, higher-quality, and compliant medication assistance. All courses are developed by Australian experts, including Registered Nurses and NDIS Lead Auditors.
It is recommended that you review the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators in line with the Support and Services you and your organisation offer to identify your individualised compliance / audit requirements.
