Within this pathway, you will develop essential knowledge and practical skills for allied health professionals, behaviour support practitioners, and support workers delivering therapeutic and person-centred services under the NDIS. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, core compliance obligations, and how to apply trauma-informed principles in practice.

You will explore the foundations of Positive Behaviour Support across three parts: behaviour functions; the ABC model; responsive and reactive strategies; escalation cycles; restrictive practices; and the development, implementation, and monitoring of Positive Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with participants and teams.

The pathway also covers handling complaints and reportable incidents, your obligations for Duty of Care, Informed Choice, and Dignity of Risk, and strategies for providing Person-Centred Active Support to empower participants with the right level of assistance for meaningful participation.

Designed for allied health professionals (such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, psychologists, and behaviour support practitioners), Disability Support Professionals, and those working in therapeutic roles within the NDIS sector, this pathway equips you with the tools to deliver safe, evidence-based, recovery-oriented supports while meeting NDIS compliance and quality standards.
