This course will provide you with the knowledge and the tools that you need to manage seizures and seizure emergencies. You will learn how to recognise the warning signs of a seizure and what the different seizure types look like. You will also get an overview of what Emergency Management Plans are and how to use them. Lastly you will learn how to apply seizure first aid and how to manage seizure emergencies.

After this lesson you will be able to:

  1. Recognise the warning signs of a seizure.
  2. Identify common seizure presentations.
  3. Know what is included in an Epilepsy Management Plan (EMP) and how to use it effectively.
  4. Respond to seizures with general seizure first aid.
  5. Manage seizure emergencies.
